KT-1 is counted from your bookings, and you copy the finished figures to the GUS portal

The report on the use of a tourist accommodation facility is filed once a month, by the 10th of the month after the one it covers. The panel gives you people, person-nights and rooms sold from your bookings. It sends nothing to GUS, Poland's statistics office: you file it yourself at raport.stat.gov.pl.

The report for January 2027, by 10 February 2027

What KT-1 is

It is a GUS form, accepted through its reporting portal. The duty to report comes from art. 30 sec. 1 point 3 of the Polish act on public statistics. Whether your property has to file KT-1 specifically is something the portal or the statistics office can confirm, as the panel does not decide that.

What the panel counts by itself

Section 4 of the form, split into total and foreign tourists.

What you enter yourself

The panel does not know these, so it leaves empty fields with a hint on what to enter.

Foreign guests by country of permanent residence

Section 5 needs the country of residence, not citizenship. The field is on the guest card, and the panel asks for it at check-in. Bookings with no guest assigned count as domestic and the panel gives their number, so you can fix them before filing.

Portal nights come from the booking source

Every booking has a source: direct, booking platform or hotel website. Row 5a adds up those marked as platform, and dates from a portal calendar get that source by themselves when you turn them into a booking. The form also asks whether guests could book you through platforms, and the panel reminds you of that even in a month with no such nights.

When the panel's figures need correcting

Rows 1-3 assume the whole month and all rooms except those under renovation. The panel says so next to the summary.

  • Row 13124

The property was closed for part of the month: enter fewer days on the form

  • Row 3372341

A room was out of service with no renovation entry: enter lower nominal values

  • Section 4a

Nights for refugees from Ukraine: you fill in section 4a yourself, as the panel does not single them out

Sample data

You file in the GUS reporting portal

You print the summary or save it as CSV, split into the form's sections and rows. The printout says plainly that it is a summary to copy across and not the GUS form. The panel shows the deadline for the month above the figures.

KT-1 questions

When is KT-1 due?
Once a month, by the 10th after the reporting month, through the GUS reporting portal: raport.stat.gov.pl.
Will Atrium send KT-1 to GUS?
No. The panel counts the data and gives you a summary to print or save as CSV. You file the report yourself in the portal.
Does my property have to file KT-1?
The form states no size threshold, so we will not guess. Check in the GUS reporting portal or with the statistics office named on the form.
Do children count in person-nights?
In the panel they do: person-nights are the number of nights times the adults and children on the booking.
A stay runs from 30 June to 3 July. How is it counted?
The person counts in the month of arrival, June, and the nights in the month they fall in.
What about guests from Booking.com?
A booking created from calendar dates gets the platform source by itself, and one typed in by hand you mark with that source. Both go into row 5a. The calendar carries only dates, so you add the party size and the guest's country yourself.
Is KT-1 connected to the visitor fee?
No. KT-1 goes to GUS and the fee information to the municipality, with a different deadline. Both use the same guest details, so you enter them once.
